About Us

More than a decade in the making, Bakes Brewing Company was built on a simple philosophy—brew the best beer possible.

After discovering just how remarkable beer could be on an out-of-state brewery trip in 2011, our Founder Jeff dove headfirst into the world of craft beer—traveling the country, studying styles, and falling in love not only with the beer itself, but with the culture, community, and elevated experiences that great breweries create.

In 2013, inspired by the passing of his grandfather Bob and driven by the desire to build something meaningful for himself and his family, Jeff committed to opening a brewery—before he had even brewed a single batch of beer! What followed was more than a decade of small-batch brewing out of his garage, where countless nights were spent refining recipes, building processes, and chasing incremental improvements to the beers, one small batch at a time.

The garage became a proving ground. Over more than ten years and 400+ batches, Jeff relentlessly honed his craft through trial and error, formal education, and competitive brewing—earning dozens of state, regional, and national home-brew competition medals, along with  credentials including a Brewing Science & Engineering diploma, Certified Cicerone®, and National Certified Beer Judge. Every beer we release today traces its roots back to those small-batch experiments and late nights.

Today, Bakes Brewing Company is a rapidly growing brewery with a passionate team and welcoming tasting room designed to serve Wall Township and beyond. Every beer is still crafted with the same meticulous attention to detail that defined the garage years, now refined into a focused portfolio of fresh hoppy beers, lagers, and stouts, meant to be experienced fresh.

Born and raised in Wall Township, we take immense pride in bringing thoughtfully crafted beer, a refined tasting room experience, and a deep respect for the craft to our hometown.
